ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) — Maryland added 1,118 new COVID-19 cases Saturday as hospitalizations and the positivity rate increased, the latest data from the state’s health department showed. The state also added 26 deaths, bringing the total to 7,973 since the pandemic began. Of those, 648 were acute care cases and 203 were intensive care. The state’s calculation of the positivity rate increased to 4.28% on Saturday from 4.16% on Friday. COVID In Maryland: More Than 1.4K New Cases And Hospitalizations Increase Friday
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) — Maryland added 1,457 new coronavirus cases and 16 more deaths as the state’s positivity rate continued its rise Friday morning. Hospitalizations went up by 32 to 1,045; with 251 in ICU beds and 794 in acute care. The state’s positivity rate is up by 0.09%, now at 5.6%. COVID-19 In Pennsylvania: State Health Department Announces 5,343 New Coronavirus Cases, 40 More Deaths
By: KDKA-TV News Staff HARRISBURG (KDKA) — The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 5,343 new Coronavirus cases and 40 additional deaths. This brings the statewide total to 1,038,749 cases and 25,188 deaths since Friday’s report. There are 2,173 people across the state in the hospital with COVID-19 and 433 patients are in ICUs. The state says 5,526,752 vaccine doses have been administered so far, and 1,960,809 people are fully vaccinated. The state Health Department has also announced that all Pennsylvanians will be eligible to schedule vaccination appointments by April 19. Currently, all 67 counties are in the green phase of reopening. However, restrictions are in place for bars, restaurants and large gatherings.
