LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – The city is expected to have a $550 million revenue shortfall by the end of the fiscal year even as revenues could rebound during the next fiscal year, officials said Monday. Los Angeles Controller Ron Galperin said for the current fiscal year through June 30, General Fund revenues are projected to be 8.3% lower than the $6.14 billion that was budgeted. LA City Vaccine Sites Set To Reopen Tuesday, With Mostly Second-Dose Appointments

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police say a suspect is under arrest after a quadruple stabbing that left a Good Samaritan dead in Brooklyn. William Smith, 45, face multiple charges, including murder and assault. The ongoing conflict in Ethiopia has taken a heavy toll in the Tigray region. It could exacerbate ethnic tensions in the country and it threatens stability in the strategically important and already fragile Horn of Africa region. It has split the diaspora, and Colorado is no exception. The conflict began in early November, when the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmad, deployed national defense forces against the ruling regional party Tigray Peoples’ Liberation Front (TPLF), and after fierce fighting took control of the capital, Mekelle. Abiy declared victory and set up an interim administration. But Tigrayan leaders say they will fight back, and the fighting continues.
