11 a.m. Weather prompts closure of S.F.’s only mass vaccination site: UCSF is closing San Francisco’s only mass vaccination site, as of Tuesday afternoon, for the rest of the week because of the wet and blustery weather ahead. The site has been vaccinating San Francisco residents and UCSF patients who are 75 and older. UCSF will reschedule some Tuesday visits and the 250 set for Wednesday, a spokeswoman said. Dustin Sullivan, whose online petition to bring back outdoor dining drew more than 5,000 signatures, didn’t expect the end of the stay-at-home order to come for another two or three weeks. So he’s not ready to reopen his Kentfield restaurant, Guesthouse, for outdoor dining yet. Sheriffs were going door to door Monday in evacuation zones to get people out. County officials have repeatedly stressed that landslides happen with little warning and devastating results: You can’t outrun or outdrive them, all you can do is get out early.
