(CNN) — The world was denied a Taylor Swift cameo in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” The person who made that call now wishes he hadn’t. Chris Weitz, who directed the movie, shared recently during a conversation on “The Twilight Effect with Ashley Greene and Melanie Howe” podcast that he and Swift had the same agent at the time who told him, “‘Taylor would like to be in this movie, not because of you, but she’s a Twi-hard,” referencing the hard core fans of the franchise. She just wants to be in this movie.” But the director rejected the idea of having such a big star in the film. President Biden's administration is still pursuing litigation to implement a federal worker vaccine mandate despite recently changed Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC) guidelines for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people. The case, called Feds for Medical Freedom v. Biden, is set for a hearing before the entire Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on Sept. 13. It stems from a case filed in Texas last December that resulted in a federal trial court issuing a nationwide injunction against the federal government enforcing its vaccine mandate for civilian employees. China Is Watching: TikTok’s In-App Browser Can Monitor Keystrokes, Capture Sensitive Info
A software researcher recently claimed that China-owned TikTok’s in-app browser is capable of monitoring and recording user keystrokes, which the company has since confirmed. Of course, the Chinese company is quick to state that the code in its app is only used for “debugging,” but this may be another lie from the company known for its mistruths. Forbes reports that TikTok has confirmed that it has the ability to monitor the activity of users when browsing the web via the platform’s in-app browser. TikTok can monitor the keystrokes that users type and what they click on a web page inside the in-app browser, meaning TikTok could capture a user’s credit card information or passwords. ‘Uncoupled’ Star Tisha Campbell Can Laugh About Her Traumatic Breakup… Now
Tisha Campbell has a bruise on her leg. At least, she’s joking that she does. The New York premiere of the Netflix comedy series Uncoupled , in which she co-stars with Neil Patrick Harris , was a few days before, and she had taken her good friend as her date. “She kept squeezing me every time something relatable happened, like from my life,” Campbell tells The Daily Beast’s Obsessed over Zoom. Such enthusiastic violence is welcome in this case, the actress laughs. It means the show was resonating, even if in painful ways—in the case of her thigh, quite literally. Campbell has found that the show seems to be having that effect on a lot of other people too. Fan encounters have started to resemble triage at an Urgent Care center, with people showing off the bruises on their own legs and forearms, inflicted by the friends clenching them in disbelief at how close-to-home the series felt. (Campbell and I bond over the one I also received at that New York premiere, for example.) … [Read more...] about ‘Uncoupled’ Star Tisha Campbell Can Laugh About Her Traumatic Breakup… Now
Streamers Get Steamy as They Lust After Sex-Drenched Fare to Seduce Subscribers
Click here to read the full article. Interior designer Melanie Rose specializes in something very intimate and unique in the home renovation space: She designs sex rooms. Remember Tommy Lee’s dream of a boudoir playground in “Pam & Tommy,” and how the racy redesign led to his sex tape being stolen? That’s what Rose does for a living — well, except she doesn’t steal her clients’ personal belongings. When she’s not planning other folks’ bedrooms, Rose is in her own home writing a series of erotic novels based on that career. It was under the guise of pitching those books as a scripted series that her manager approached Adam Sher, president of ITV America. CNN Boss Warns ‘More Changes’ Coming After Media Star Gets the Ax
More changes are coming to CNN, network boss Chris Licht told staffers on Friday—and they may not “like” or “understand” these changes at all. During a Friday morning editorial meeting, Licht addressed the previous day’s dramatic announcement that CNN is ending its long-running Sunday media analysis show Reliable Sources and that its star host Brian Stelter will exit the network. “We will continue covering media stories, including on TV, when warranted,” Licht emphasized, multiple sources said, in response to concerns that CNN may no longer cover media issues. He further explained that the Reliable Sources newsletter will relaunch under reporter Oliver Darcy and “we will be expanding our coverage.” Licht added of Stelter: “I really appreciate all that Brian has done to build the media beat for CNN. He’s a great human being and a good person. I wish him all the best on his new venture.” Licht acknowledged internal outrage over Stelter’s ouster, telling staffers, “This is a time … [Read more...] about CNN Boss Warns ‘More Changes’ Coming After Media Star Gets the Ax
Nolte: Brad Pitt Settles for 20.5 Million After Eco-Friendly Homes Fall Apart
Brad Pitt has been forced to settle for $20.5 million after the eco-friendly homes he built for victims of Hurricane Katrina began to fall apart . Pitt’s idea was to not only ride to the rescue of the 9 th Ward but to use the Make It Right foundation to prove eco-friendly homes can be built in an affordable fashion. By 2018, 107 homes had been built and sold to low-income residents for about $150,000. There was just one problem. Actually, there were countless problems, millions of dollars in problems… Per far-left NBC News, residents complained of “mold and collapsing structures, electrical fires and gas leaks. They say the houses were built too quickly, with low-quality materials, and that the designs didn’t take into account New Orleans’ humid, rainy climate.” The Green Utopia has yet to arrive. Big surprise, eh? The Green Utopia also lacks compassionate overlords willing to take responsibility for their mistakes, which is especially outrageous when you are talking … [Read more...] about Nolte: Brad Pitt Settles for 20.5 Million After Eco-Friendly Homes Fall Apart
