Few position groups have been more polarizing than the safety class in the build up to the 2019 NFL Draft. The class features a handful of dynamic prospects with pundits mixing and matching their favorites in positional rankings. Opinions on each individual safety vary, depending on who you ask.According to an AFC defensive backs coach, who spoke to NJ Advance Media on the condition of anonymity, opinions are divided because of the group’s lack of overall scheme versatility.“I think a lot of these guys are going to be scheme fits,” the coach said. “I’m not so sure you can say ‘this guy can fit in any scheme.' How we found the data Information for this story came from the statewide voter registration database, which provides, among other things, the gender, registration date, current political party and party at the time of previous elections.
