(CNN) Two days after 12 of the biggest clubs in European soccer announced their plans to form a new league -- unironically called the Super League -- the entire plan collapsed amid widespread dissatisfaction from fans, players and managers, evidence of a massive miscalculation by a handful of extremely wealthy owners and the continued power of populism across the globe. The league would have taken the six wealthiest (and most successful) clubs in the English Premier League and paired them with three giants from Spain (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid) and three from Italy (Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan). Mass Vaccination Sites In Colorado Now Open To Walk-Ups: ‘No More Excuses’
DENVER (CBS4) – Colorado is making it easier to get vaccinated as it moves to eliminate pre-registration at some of its biggest vaccination sites. Vaccination sites at Ball Arena, The Ranch complex in Larimer County and Pueblo Fairgrounds along the Front Range will no longer require pre-registration. “There’s no more excuses,” said Gov. Jared Polis Tuesday. “Get vaccinated. It’s free quick and easy at multiple sites across the state.” (credit: CBS) Ball Arena will be open 9 a.m.- 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Ranch Complex in Loveland is open 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Pueblo County Fairgrounds is already allowing people to walk or drive up. (CNN) President Joe Biden, well on his way to reaching a new goal of vaccinating 200 million Americans by the end of April, is taking initial steps toward helping other nations ramp up shots, including by boosting global manufacturing and appointing a top global health expert who previously advocated for shipping vaccines from the United States' surplus abroad. Diplomats view the developments as a sign Biden is moving toward sharing some of the hundreds of millions of doses the United States will have left over once every American is vaccinated. But the President remains wary of sending vaccines overseas before people in the United States have access, and administration health experts continue to caution that extra doses may be needed as the virus mutates and the pandemic persists.
