Instead, the pair’s relationship has cooled off over the course of Trump’s presidency. The last big flare-up was in August when Corker criticized Trump’s widely condemned response to the violence at a white-supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, suggesting that Trump “has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs” to be successful. In response, Trump tweeted that Corker was two-faced and claimed that his constituents in Tennessee were not happy with him. … [Read more...] about Corker Calls White House an ‘Adult Day Care Center’ in Response to Trump Attack

The lobbying included attempts to gain positive press coverage of Ukrainian officials in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press. Another goal: undercutting American public sympathy for the imprisoned rival of Ukraine’s then-president. At the time, European and American leaders were pressuring Ukraine to free her.… The emails show Gates personally directed two Washington lobbying firms, Mercury LLC and the Podesta Group Inc., between 2012 and 2014 to set up meetings between a top Ukrainian official and senators and congressmen on influential committees involving Ukrainian interests. I also think that Nancy Pelosi’s constant declaration that a border wall is an “immorality” is absurd, condescending, and politically stupid. But she just won an election, and Trump has to deal with her. … [Read more...] about Welcome to Act III of the Trump Tragedy

In 2016, GOP donor Foster Friess said, “throughout history, God has harnessed imperfect people to fulfill his perfect will.” Pro-Trump Christians already have a framework through which to view and, if necessary, ignore Trump’s behavior. … [Read more...] about Trump Says He’s King of the Jews.
