Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo filed a lawsuit against Attorney General Letitia James for failing to provide him with legal representation when he was taken to court over harassment allegations. "Sexually harassing young women who work for you is not part of anyone’s job description,’ a spokesperson for James told the New York Daily News Thursday. "Taxpayers should not have to pony up for legal bills that could reach millions of dollars so Mr. Cuomo’s lawyer can attack survivors of his abuse." According to court documents filed Wednesday, Cuomo argues that he is entitled to representation at the state's expense to defend a lawsuit against him because the allegations against him happened "while he was acting within the scope of his public employment and … [Read more...] about Andrew Cuomo sues NY AG to cover legal costs in harassment lawsuit

SCOTUS Hearing Could Put Kamala Center Stage in 2020 Brawl
The last confirmation hearings for a Supreme Court nominee were a launching pad for Sen. Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. Two years later, the looming confirmation battle for the nation’s highest court could help propel her into the White House. In a year when the word “unprecedented” has been rendered basically meaningless, the California senator’s dual role as both a vice presidential nominee and one of the most prominent members of the Senate Judiciary Committee is a historical first. Progressives are hoping that Harris’ aggressive cross-examination of Brett Kavanaugh during the explosive 2018 hearings investigating allegations of sexual misconduct are a preview of a similar performance in the coming weeks as the panel considers President Donald Trump’s potential third justice on the Supreme Court—this time, under an even brighter spotlight. “There’s really only two political events that capture the attention of the whole country: Supreme Court hearings, and presidential … [Read more...] about SCOTUS Hearing Could Put Kamala Center Stage in 2020 Brawl
Zero House Republicans to Vote for ‘Inflation Reduction’ Act
House Republicans are planning to whip the vote against the “Inflation Reduction” Act with zero GOP defections — to force the Democrats to “own” the massive spending bill. Republicans are working to make sure all of their members are in Washington, DC to cast their vote on the bill in person, and intend to pressure Democrats to do the same — to go on record with their position in person, a senior House Republican staffer told Breitbart News. “We’re going to make sure that we have everybody in town voting, so that if these Democrats want to vote to raise taxes, during a recession, they’ll have to go on record to do it,” the staffer told Breitbart. The GOP is also looking to highlight the more egregious items in the massive spending bill, using it as a cudgel against Democrats. “I think the big fight is just going to be making them own the bill. I think this bill is going to be their own worst enemy. When you look at doubling the size of the IRS, tripling the size of the EPA, … [Read more...] about Zero House Republicans to Vote for ‘Inflation Reduction’ Act

Nolte: Ezra Miller’s Alleged Scumbaggery Should Not Kill Release of ‘Flash’ Movie
There are two ways to examine the exploding controversy over Ezra Miller and his upcoming $200 million Flash movie. The first is this: In the fascist woke universe, of course, The Flash should never see the light of day. The movie should be scrapped, burned, and its ashes scattered over the Indian Ocean. Look at the precedents set in this universe… Disney blacklisted actress Gina Carano over nothing more than not being a leftist. Johnny Depp was blacklisted for five years(!) before he was vindicated in court. The Great Woody Allen has been blacklisted after two states — two ! — found him innocent. Put another way, the Nazis who run Woke Hollywood have been disappearing, destroying, and annihilating people and careers for supposed sins that don’t even come close to the horrors attributed to Ezra Miller. So, of course, The Flash should never see the light of day. The second way to look at it is this: In a just and sane universe, the very idea of attaching purity tests to … [Read more...] about Nolte: Ezra Miller’s Alleged Scumbaggery Should Not Kill Release of ‘Flash’ Movie
‘I Was So Embarrassed’: Crystal Kung Minkoff Slams ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Eating Disorder Jokes
When does a cliffhanger cross the line? It’s a question some viewers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills want to know. Last week’s episode ended with “to be continued,” Bravo’s oft-used dramatic signal to the audience that a cliffhanger of drama would continue. There are numerous times this has been used successfully to engage the audience in heightened drama—on The Real Housewives of New York City alone it was shown during a meltdown in the Berkshires, the nearly-capsized Boat Ride from Hell in Cartagena, and when Luann de Lesseps discovered it was, in fact, about Tom —but the recent dramatic embellishment on RHOBH landed differently, because of the topic on hand. Beverly Hills Housewife Crystal Kung Minkoff had opened up on the show about her struggles with bulimia and body dysmorphia. And over the last two episodes, Minkoff was approached with questions and comments from her cast that could be deemed inappropriate to direct to someone with an eating disorder. … [Read more...] about ‘I Was So Embarrassed’: Crystal Kung Minkoff Slams ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Eating Disorder Jokes
