Abundant sunshine and high pressure in control allowed temperatures to soar into the low 60s away from the coast. It was about 20 degrees warmer than Friday. Monday will feature just a few more clouds mainly along the coast, but conditions will remain dry and mild in the upper 50s and low 60s. PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Good morning, did you love the weekend’s weather? If so, you’re going to love it again today with highs back in the mid-60s and lows starting off in the upper 30’s. Going back to Tuesday, the day will be dry with a few clouds around. Clouds will begin to increase as we head into the evening hours. With the small changes in places along with warm air advection, I am bumping up highs to around 67 for Pittsburgh. PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Today will be dry with rain chances returning tomorrow. Taking a look at monthly rain, we’ve seen our share of dry days this month with us recording only four days so far this month with measurable rain. READ MORE: Police Chase Ends In Crash; Teen Driver Killed, 2 Injured (Photo Credit: KDKA Weather Center) Most of this month’s rain fell on the 18th, when we saw a record amount (2.19”) of rain. For the month we have seen 2.7” of rain. We are +0.66” for the month so far. Of interesting note, only 0.1” of snow has been recorded so far this month. This is the least amount of snow we have seen in decades, with only three years of recording just trace amounts of snow. The last time we recorded a trace amount was in 1946.  That’s a span of 75 years. Back to this week’s weather, highs today should hit the mid to upper 60s with the increased cloud cover.
