ORLANDO, Florida — Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) introduced a term she called “The Committee of 74,” a reference to the 74 million people who voted for former President Donald Trump, in an exclusive with Breitbart News. During the interview with Breitbart News at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) hosted by the American Conservative Union (ACU), Blackburn said that people who voted for Democrat President Joe Biden are expressing “buyer’s remorse” already. “One thing we have to realize is there is a lot of buyer’s remorse right now,” Blackburn said. Fully Vaccinated Americans Hopeful But Still Wary
NEW ORLEANS, LA. - Ally Dever lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, and hasn’t seen her parents since November 2019. Like so many Americans, she wants to be reunited with family, but is not willing to take the risk of getting them sick during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Her mother is 77 and her father is 87, living more than 1,100 kilometers away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. “I just want to be able to hug my mom,” she told VOA. “I miss her.” Last month, Dever got a giant step closer to having that wish come true. Because she’s a mental health professional, she received both doses of a coronavirus vaccine. As a result, her chance of being infected with COVID-19 — or passing it on to those around her — is believed to be drastically reduced. And Dever isn’t alone. To date, nearly 25 million Americans (7.55% of the population) have been fully vaccinated against the disease, while twice that much (15.16% of the population) have received at least the first dose. The pace of … [Read more...] about Fully Vaccinated Americans Hopeful But Still Wary

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Governor Ron DeSantis delivered his annual State of the State address Tuesday morning during the first day of the state’s 2021 legislative session in Tallahassee. Here is the full text of his speech: READ MORE: Stimulus Check Update: When Could Another Economic Relief Payment Arrive? “Mr. Speaker, Mr. President, members of the House and Senate and fellow citizens: I see, in many parts of our country, a sad state of affairs: schools closed, businesses shuttered and lives destroyed. This calamitous reality is just the beginning of what will likely be long-term damage to children, families and society. Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. While so many other states kept locking people down, Florida lifted people up. Florida’s schools are open – and we are one of only a handful of states in which every parent has a right to send a child to school in-person. All Floridians have a right to earn a living – and our citizens are employed at higher rates than … [Read more...] about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ State Of The State Address
