LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Frank Moreno, a major force in the independent film world over several decades, has died at the age of 82, his family announced Thursday. Moreno died Wednesday in Florida after a brief battle with cancer, his daughter Danni said. Political differences lead to tense moments on Post’s listening tour
ALAMOSA — When The Denver Post’s politics team decided to hold a listening tour across the state , we set some goals: make sure we found diverse voices and focused the conversations on issues rather than identity, policy rather than personalities. The last thing we wanted was a screaming match in a library. So far, so good, I’m happy to report. Though we have come close a few times. When we were in Greeley, voices were raised when the discussion turned to the question of so-called Democratic overreach at the statehouse. Most people in the room rejected the idea that Democrats went too far, and a few expressed umbrage. It wasn’t so much that local leaders in the conservative county felt that Democrats pushed their agenda too far, it was more that they felt Democrats weren’t willing to work with them.
