LAS VEGAS — A desert city built on a reputation for excess and indulgence wants to become a model for restraint and conservation with a first-in-the-nation policy banning grass that nobody walks on. Las Vegas-area water officials have spent two decades trying to get people to replace thirsty greenery with desert plants, and now they’re asking the Nevada Legislature to outlaw roughly 40% of the turf that’s left. The Southern Nevada Water Authority estimates there are almost 8 square miles (21 square kilometers) of “nonfunctional turf” in the metro area — grass that no one ever walks on or otherwise uses in street medians, housing developments and office parks. They say this ornamental grass requires four times as much water as drought-tolerant landscaping like cactus and other succulents. ‘The Real Magic Mike’ unscripted competition series coming to HBO Max
(CNN) A new series that will transform a group of men into real-life Magic Mikes is coming. HBO Max has ordered "The Real Magic Mike,' an unscripted competition series from Eureka Productions and Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, which is set to debut later this year. The "exhilarating and sexy" series will transform ten men who have "lost their magic" into beautiful men. "They will bare their souls and more as they evolve their bodies, learn to perform spectacular routines, and develop a new level of self-confidence," read a description of the show from HBO Max. The men will learn to strip, "rid themselves of emotional baggage and regain their mojo," but there will only be one winner, who will be crowned the "Real Magic Mike."
