DEL PASO HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A home and some sheds caught fire in Del Paso Heights on Saturday morning. At around 6:15 a.m., Sacramento Fire Department crews received the call of a fire at a home along Marysville Boulevard near Acacia Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they found that the fire had damaged some sheds on the property along with a bungalow-style home behind the main home. (CNN) — The Michigan prosecutor reviewing the shooting death of Patrick Lyoya, a Black man who was killed by a White Grand Rapids police officer following a struggle during a traffic stop in April, announced Thursday that he examined the officer’s intent and actions before charging him with one count of second-degree murder. Police Dog Nabs Fentanyl Stash After Crash In Willington

Chris Dehnel , Patch Staff Posted Reply WILLINGTON, CT — An alert police dog nabbed a stash of a deadly drug inside a vehicle after a crash on Ruby Road in Willington, a report indicates. The crash took place near 7 Ruby Road on June 16. According to an arrest report, at 8:18 p.m., state police responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash. The vehicle involved was tracked down a short time later on Interstate 84 and police dog Drago alerted troopers to narcotics in the vehicle, which turned out to be 26 bags of fentanyl, according to an arrest report. Allen Hornacek, 35, of Stafford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, evading responsibility with property damage, driving without proper insurance and a lane violation, state police said. According to PennDOT, fatalities, injuries, and crashes decreased overall at 26 roundabouts at 23 locations in the time since they were built, according to department data. The two Delaware County roundabouts are located at North Newtown Street and St. Davids Road in Newtown Township and Chester Road, Rutgers Avenue, and Fieldhouse Lane in Swarthmore. The Newtown roundabout opened in 2008 and the Swarthmore roundabout opened in 2014.
