VINELAND, N.J. (CBS) — A sickening discovery on the side of an entrance ramp in Vineland has Cumberland County police investigating a case of animal cruelty. On Wednesday morning, seven, 3 to 4-week-old, multicolored puppies were found dead near the southbound entrance to Route 55 off of Sherman Avenue. In a plea to the public for information, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said Friday, “Someone in the community is aware that an individual had a litter of puppies that suddenly disappeared. DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — One day after sending out a call to help identify an animal cruelty suspect who allegedly physically assaulted and killed two puppies Dallas police have made an arrest. (credit: Dallas Police Department) At midnight on April 9 officers with the Dallas Police Animal Cruelty Unit arrested Sebastian Acosta. They charged the 20 year old with Cruelty to Non-Livestock Torture/Kill, which is a 3rd-degree felony. Surveillance video captured a man along Dowdy Ferry Road with two Pyrenees-type puppies. That man drove away with a third dog in the back of a silver Ford F150 pickup — that dog was seized for protective custody. BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Three four-week-old husky puppies are in critical condition after they were rescued in Baltimore. A customer at a gas station at the foot of the Hanover Street Bridge noticed a broken down car Friday night. When they came closer to the car, they saw five husky puppies inside, covered in their own filth and barely moving.
