U.S. Donald Trump CNN evacuated its New York offices on Wednesday morning due to a suspicious package that turned out to be an explosive device. That deadly threat did not stop the Trump campaign, nearly two hours later, from sending out an email blast to supporters slamming the television network together with a “media accountability survey.” The email sent at 11:57 a.m. EDT was signed by Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who is a senior adviser for his reelection campaign. It was titled “It felt like…” quoting CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta in August saying of the backlash he got at a Trump rally in Florida, “it felt like we weren’t in America anymore.” “Here’s what CNN said. What do you say?” the email states. “I have some breaking news for CNN… That is the real America that exists outside of the liberal bubble.” “It’s time for us to give the media another wake-up … [Read more...] about Trump Campaign Email Attacks CNN After Pipe Bomb Causes Office Evacuation, Includes ‘Media Accountability Survey’

U.S. President Donald Trump. Photo by Chris Kleponis - Pool/Getty Images No story is hotter across America this Memorial Day weekend than what the Federal Bureau of Investigation did—and did not do—in 2016 about Russian connections to Donald J. Trump. As the summer enjoys its unofficial kickoff, headlines and social media are overflowing with accusations, of varying degrees of veracity, regarding FBI counterintelligence operations around President Trump two years ago, as he was campaigning to take the White House.Of late, the president has taken to Twitter even more manically than usual, hurling invective at the FBI for its alleged illegalities toward him and his entourage. Over the weekend, “executive time” has birthed batches of presidential rage-tweets about the alleged “Spygate,” complete with Trump’s trademark unusual capitalizations and quotations. “With Spies, or ‘Informants’ as the Democrats like to call them because … [Read more...] about Here’s How the FBI Investigation Into Russia and Trump Campaign Actually Started
WASHINGTON (Circa) — As more information becomes public about the FBI’s probe of ties between President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and the Russian effort to influence the election, the president and others say a picture is emerging of a politically-motivated investigation that used dubious evidence to justify surveilling his aides to build a still-unproven case for collusion, but some say officials had valid reasons for their suspicions. “We now have a lot of information to piece together,” Sharyl Attkisson, host of Sinclair’s “Full Measure,” said in an interview with KABB Friday. In a recent op-ed for The Hill, Attkisson detailed evidence she believes supports the contention that the investigation was deployed against Trump for political purposes. Among those eight signs were many of the techniques investigators reportedly used to gather information on the actions of Trump aides. “There are several of them, such as … [Read more...] about Was the FBI investigation of the Trump campaign driven by evidence or politics?
