MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Burnsville police say a carjacking suspect is dead after he fired multiple rounds at officers Sunday afternoon on Interstate 35W. It happened at about 3 p.m. on the interstate near County Road 13. Police say the suspect — a white man in his 20s — was being pursued by officers for driving a vehicle with stolen plates. The man crashed that car, then ran into a nearby TGI Friday’s restaurant, where he encountered a woman named Charmaine. She was getting dessert with her goddaughter, seated near the door, with her keys on the table. BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Ohio (AP) — A driver being pursued by police in a western Ohio town went through a red light and crashed into another vehicle early Tuesday, leaving both drivers dead and at least two people injured, including an infant. The crash occurred around 8 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 40 and state Route 202 in Bethel Township. The Dayton Daily News reports the chase involved Troy police and state troopers, but it wasn’t clear why the officers were attempting to stop the speeding car. CDC Updates Travel Guidance For People Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The CDC has updated travel guidance for people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. In an updated posting on its website , the agency says fully vaccinated people can travel safely within the United States without a COVID-19 test as long as they wear a mask and social distance. DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — A police chase involving a stolen ambulance in Dallas has ended with a suspect in custody. Authorities were involved in the chase through various highways and side streets Monday afternoon. Officials confirmed the ambulance was stolen from a Dallas fire station.
