Despite security warnings, he continues to advertise his account to constituents on his official congressional Twitter account. Nicholas Gravante, an experienced trial attorney who represented another Trump Organization executive, Matthew Calarmari, in the Manhattan District Attorney's investigation, has joined Weisselberg's defense. NY attorney general isn't satisfied with Trump's bid to stay out of contempt after deposing longtime assistant Weisselberg continues to be represented by his long-time attorney Mary Mulligan as well as Tim Haggerty and Brian Skarlatos, a specialist in tax crimes. I Hiked, Swam, and Picked Capers on Pantelleria for 4 Days

Column: Kevin Costner’s absence, Chicago Cubs executive cameos and other observations on the Field of Dreams telecast
It turns out you can stage a great infomercial for baseball, Iowa and Hollywood without the presence of the New York Yankees or a walk-off home run by Tim Anderson. Field of Dreams 2.0 once again lived up to expectations , though expectations were considerably lower this year with the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds playing a game that had no bearing on the National League playoff race. As a special TV event, the Fox telecast hit all the marks — plenty of stories about dads, videos of players shucking corn, a glowing full moon rising above the field and a sunset so Instagramable you’d think it was CGI. And if you lived in Chicago and also were able to catch the postgame news conference on Marquee Sports Network, you were treated to someone asking the Cubs how an organization could be so “blessed” as to get invites to both the Field of Dreams game and next summer’s game in London against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cubs marketing department couldn’t have scripted a question … [Read more...] about Column: Kevin Costner’s absence, Chicago Cubs executive cameos and other observations on the Field of Dreams telecast
McDonald’s discontinued its fake meat burger the McPlant. Good riddance.
Last week, McDonald’s confirmed to CNBC that its U.S. test of the McPlant burger has ended. Yes, that means the fast food corporation’s first ever meatless burger is no more, absent any announcement of a nationwide launch. This news may be disappointing news to some fans of the burger, but as a mostly-vegetarian, I say good riddance. When I tried the McPlant burger back in February , when it first launched in Bay Area restaurants , I declared it a McNope. The Beyond Meat patty made with peas, rice and potatoes was lacking in flavor, and its presentation conjured the words "floppy," "soggy" and "gloopy." I concluded that I would only eat it under dire circumstances. So I can't say I'm too sad to see it go. But it is a little disappointing to see how little interest Americans seem to have in eating plant-based burgers. J.P. Morgan analyst Ken Goldman told CNBC that McDonald's employees claimed the burger wasn't selling very well. According to analysis from BTIG , … [Read more...] about McDonald’s discontinued its fake meat burger the McPlant. Good riddance.
