The amazing race
The "Amazing Race" has wound down to five teams, and as the race quickly draws to a close, at least one more team will find themselves saying goodbye—especially after breaking the number one rule of the competition. In the description for the Feb. 14 double episode "The First Rule Of The Amazing Race Club," racers will head to both Bahrain and Thailand before the final two legs hit, but the first leg in particular could prove devastating for a team that makes a crucial mistake. "For the first time, the Race travels to Bahrain, where one team's game is on the line when one of them misplaces their passport," the synopsis for the episode reads. A misplaced passport is a crucial mistake for any team on the race to make, as they can not be checked in at the pit stop for the leg without it, meaning other teams could surpass them. The most famous example of this happening on a previous season was when best friend Zev and Justin in Season … [Read more...] about ‘The Amazing Race’ Season 30: Which Teams Will Fall Before Final Legs?
The remaining six teams on "The Amazing Race" will find themselves tested in a way they couldn't have expected as the race heads to Africa, with their pre-existing relationships with their partners no longer meaning anything once they arrive at their destination. In a preview clip for the upcoming episode, "All's Fair In Love And War," the teams will express dismay when they run into Phil, and he tells them that for the first time in the show's history, they will be switching their partners. While the show did adopt an all-strangers format in Season 29, this will be the first time the teams will be forced to switch with one another. Although it will be for only one leg, it will certainly put some new pressure on the remaining competitors. It appears is in a sneak peek clip that the way teams will be switched will come down to a strange task, which encourages teams to build a tent at a wildlife preserve as quickly as possible, before settling in for the night. It's not clear … [Read more...] about ‘The Amazing Race’ Season 30: Who Will Work Together During Partner Switch-Up?
There were 7-foot men in 5-foot boats, there was the second ever Head-to-Head, there were upwards of 100 puns, there were marriage proposals, there was A CHIPPED TOOTH. When The Amazing Race comes with a two-hour episode, it doesn’t come to play… But these eight remaining teams sure do, which is to say: They play ferociously and with seemingly endless energy. I had my reservations about the actual competitive spirit of these teams, but they’re all shaping up to be a mighty competent bunch all around. When one member of each team had to construct a giant medieval trebuchet, I just kept thinking how in almost any other season there would surely have been someone who just melted down before working very slowly to figure it out. But we have ourselves a race here, folks. Even those twins. THOSE TWINS! They don’t always seem to be the sharpest sailors in the boat, and they stone-cold pushed a car for two straight legs because they couldn’t figure out how to … [Read more...] about The Amazing Race recap: ‘Gotta Put Your Sole Into It’
"The Amazing Race" seems as though it has only just begun, but a big game-changer may already start to be in play for the show's 30th season. As the race heads to France, the competition will continue to heat up, as teams encounter not only another head-to-head challenge to avoid elimination, but something a preview clip for the episode teases could be a game-changing moment. "But when this happens, it's a whole new game," the promo teases, as Henry and Evan, Kristi and Jen, and Daniel and Eric all look on with surprise and smiles on their faces. However, the moment in question likely isn't related to the competition at all, as Evan is clearly looking down in the preview, and there are several photo stills for the episode which seem to be focused on a tender moment between Team Ocean Rescue, Lucas Bocanegra and Brittany Austin. Lucas Bocanegra and Brittany Austin may experience a "Game changing" moment on "The Amazing Race."
