Some skiers found found out they were on the naughty list this Christmas Eve after the Weber County Sheriff’s Office towed nearly 40 cars from the state road near Snowbasin Resort.Deputies began towing vehicles parked illegally along State Road 226 to help “facilitate safe travel for motorists and the efficient and effective removal of snow by the plows” following an overnight snow storm that dropped a few inches of snow in the area, according a Monday news release from the sheriff’s office.In total, 38 vehicles were towed, all of which were parked in a posted “no parking” zone, the sheriff’s office said. SYRACUSE — A section of one of Northern Utah’s busiest arterial roads will be closed for nearly three months, as the state rushes to complete a construction project there before school starts in the fall. On June 1, State Road 108, or 2000 West, will be completely closed from Antelope Drive through 1275 South, said Utah Department of Transportation spokesman Vic Saunders. The closure is planned to be in effect until Aug. 21. UDOT is in the midst of a $52 million project to widen the road to five lanes between 470 North in West Point and S.R. 127 (Antelope Drive/1700 South) in Syracuse.
