Country-rock troubadour Jason Isbell headlined opening night of the 24th annual cathedral fundraiser, five years after he triumphed over addictions and lived to sing beautifully about the fight. And hometown heroes the Revolution once again proved their value as a go-to celebratory band, two years after they came back together to honor their old boss, Prince. What will happen when you turn a corner in the Bay Area and see an inordinately large “50” symbol illuminated by solar power? Will you be enthralled and excited? More importantly, will you hashtag?One of the ten “50” signs that could be coming to a street corner near you. We are about to learn. Saturday, with exactly 50 days left until Super Bowl 50, the local host committee unveiled the first of 10 sculpture/icon/images of the numeral “50” that will be rolled out across the Bay Area between now and the game. The first one was set up at San Francisco City Hall on Saturday morning. Later in the day, a gold “50” was lit up on the San Francisco Ferry building tower. While sports reporters were busy handicapping Sunday's big game between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, two CBS News correspondents were dispatched to each team's hometown with a mission - to find out whether Denver or Charlotte is the "super" city. "Keep pounding" - that's the catchphrase of Carolina Fans, but it's also become the mantra of the city of Charlotte, among the fastest growing city of the South, reports CBS News correspondent Michelle Miller. But Denver is the mile-high city, says CBS News correspondent John Blackstone, as the number one choice of millennials on the move, with about 1,000 people moving to the area per week.
