RaeQuan Beal, Detroit Renaissance: Completed 12 of 20 passes for 263 yards and four touchdowns in the win vs. Detroit Central. D’Vaun Bentley, Detroit Loyola: Torched the defense for 332 rushing yards and four touchdowns in Loyola’s 26-21 victory over U-D Jesuit. Farrell, Tom Lang, Wright Wilson and Keith Dunlap make predictions for 12 conferences in the metro Detroit area and why those teams will win its respective conference. Catholic High School League Central Division Predicted finish: 1. Warren De La Salle, 2-tie. Novi Detroit Catholic Central, Birmingham Brother Rice, 4. Orchard Lake St. Mary’s. Why De La Salle? Picked to finish last in the league in 2017, the Pilots went out and won the Prep Bowl and the Division 2 state championship. The rest of the league is not taking them for granted this year.
