In discussing last week his company’s partnership with the NFL, Jay-Z was asked about Colin Kaepernick and said, among other things, “I think we’ve moved past kneeling. I think it’s time for action.” Three NFL players have continued to kneel during the national anthem to bring attention to issues of racial injustice and police brutality, and two of them have made it clear that they have a problem with Jay-Z’s comments. On Monday, it was Kenny Stills’s turn to express disappointment with the rapper and business mogul. Stills, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins who has been protesting before games with teammate Albert Wilson, told reporters at his locker, “Some of the ways that [Jay-Z] answered his questions, talking about, ‘We’re moving past kneeling,’ like he ever protested. He’s not an NFL player. “He’s never been on a knee. Choosing to speak for the people like he had spoken to the people.” … [Read more...] about Jay-Z has “moved past kneeling.” Some NFL players have a problem with that.

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump's support for Saudi Arabia in the wake of a deadly shooting by a Saudi national at a Florida naval base is underscoring the latitude Trump gives the Kingdom's rulers, even as Congress has pushed to limit the ties between Washington and Riyadh. The December 6 attack on a military base in the Florida panhandle -- a political stronghold for the President -- raises questions about whether Trump will feel any political fallout as Florida Republicans warn Saudi Arabia not to interfere in investigations and call for a review of foreigners training on US bases. In fact, there’s probably no player who engenders as much consensus as Kelce, viewed so widely as the best option at his position. And with good reason: He was tops among TEs in fantasy scoring in 2016, barely behind Rob Gronkowski (with a big drop to third) in 2017 and back on top again last year, by a notable margin. Oh, and only in the most recent of those seasons did … [Read more...] about The top fantasy football tight ends to draft in 2019
WASHINGTON - Q: “Voice of America reaches all over the world, including directly into Venezuela and the surrounding countries. A lot of chaos going on there. What’s the message that you want to get to the people of Venezuela. What do they need to know about American policy?”National Security Advisor John Bolton: “Well that we are entirely behind their justifiable desire to be able to control their own government to get rid of this authoritarian military regime that’s basically ruined the economy of the country over the last twenty years. The nations of the Western Hemisphere are almost unanimously behind their desire to see a peaceful transfer of power. Fifty six governments have recognized Juan Guaido as the legitimate interim president, that’s the first time that there’s ever been that kind of rejection of the Maduro regime. So times are hard in Venezuela now, that’s because of twenty years of mismanagement of the economy. But … [Read more...] about VOA Interview: John Bolton’s Take on World’s Hotspots
