May 21, 2018 by Antonio Harvey Leave a Comment The Warriors lead the series 2-1. It was the Warriors largest margin of victory in a playoff game. No importance to Golden State, but the Warriors also set a playoff record for a streak of home wins. Besides those nuggets, it was the tw0-time MVP of the NBA who had made only 3 of 20 shots behind the 3-point line in the first two game of the series, the biggest story of the Game 3. Curry, who missed 8 of 11 shots in the first half, finished with 35 points, six rebounds, and one assist. Overall he made 13 of 23 shots from the floor, 10 of 12 made baskets in the second half. He made all seven of his shots for the field, including two 3-pointers in the third quarter. Between the third and fourth quarter, Curry made six-straight baskets. At this point he was not only in the zone, he was controlling it. “No matter what questions I was being asked over the first two games or what the expectation was, I had the highest expectation for … [Read more...] about Stephen Curry Scores 35 Points, Warriors Beat Rockets By 41 To Take 2-1 Lead In WC Finals
“This is a one-time only music/sci-fi bonanza,” Brown says. “I've had the chance to hear a song or two for a couple bands, and I can say without any doubt that people's ears will be treated to a serious treat. In the early stages, keeping the bands together presented its own set of challenges.“It was kind of intimidating at first because I didn’t know any of the people in my group until some members dropped and Jeff had to put new member [Stephanie Burns of Lizzie Boredom]," explains Sub-Sahara drummer Alex Mireles of the Alien band. For him, just seeing a familiar face created a smooth vibe, making it “awesome to see what kind of music and sound you can create with other people,” he said. For Loafers … [Read more...] about Dallas Musicians Form Supergroups, Create Film Scores for Sci-Fi Fest
Jason Gonzales, and Nicole Young Nashville Published 3:23 p.m. UTC May 25, 2018 The Robertson County School Board not only passed a resolution opposing the use of TNReady scores for student grading by unanimous vote earlier this month, they sent their paperwork to the governor’s office as a means to voice their displeasure at the testing process. During the board’s regular May meeting, Robertson County Director of Schools Chris Causey called the three-week testing “a fiasco from Day One.” Not only was the online testing bad, Causey said, the paper and pencil versions of the test were also mishandled. “The state legislature, of course, finally, at the eleventh hour, passed legislation to allow us to not count it at all, and that is what we are asking the board to make a statement and do,” Causey said just before the vote. Robertson County’s decision comes as other Tennessee school boards grapple with how they will use TNReady scores for … [Read more...] about Tennessee returns TNReady raw scores on time.
