Rices Fire In Nevada County Now 26% Contained
NEVADA COUNTY (CBS13) — The latest on the Rices Fire in Nevada County: Containment grew to 26% overnight Friday, but firefighters are keeping a watchful eye on increased winds that could fan the flames across the river and into Yuba County, as well as threaten to spread the fire to the north into the community of San Juan. The fire remains at 904 acres, according to Cal Fire’s latest report Saturday morning. A total of 13 structures have been destroyed, which includes five residences. Full containment is still expected by Tuesday. Previous day’s (July 1) updates below: 7:40 a.m. Firefighters are optimistic that favorable weather will continue to help in their battle against the Rices Fire. Morgan played on film soundtracks and record dates going back to the early 1950s.
