Orange County Planning To Open COVID-19 Vaccine Sites At Senior Centers
SANTA ANA (CBSLA) — Orange County officials announced Friday that some senior centers would be utilized as vaccination sites to help inoculate the elderly against COVID-19 . “We’ve got to get mobile out into the neighborhoods and take the vaccine to them,” Costa Mesa Mayor Katrina Foley said. The county currently has about 20,000 doses available for the public, with up to 35,000 doses expected to arrive in the coming week. 50-Year-Old Woman Missing For Nearly A Month From Santa Clarita Area
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA) — Authorities are continuing the search for a 50-year-old woman with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder who has been missing from the Santa Clarita area for nearly a month. Debbie Phipps was last seen at around 9 a.m. on Feb. 7 in the 1500 block of Daffodil Avenue. She left the area “with either a wheelchair or walker, and was seen getting onto several local buses within Santa Clarita,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities are searching for 50-year-old Debbie Phipps, pictured, who was last seen in the Santa Clarita area on February 7. (Source: LASD) Phipps is described as 5 feet tall and 120 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair. She was last seen wearing a red sweater, gray sweat pants, a white scarf and black shoes. Orange County Continues To See Encouraging COVID-19 Trends
SANTA ANA (CBSLA) — Orange County’s push to graduate to the less-restrictive red tier of the state’s COVID-19 monitoring system continued Friday as cases and hospitalizations declined. Health officials reported 62 additional death Friday 232 new COVID-19 cases. Of the deaths reported Friday, 12 were skilled nursing facility residents and nine were assisted living facility residents, raising the cumulative totals in those groups to 975 and 462, respectively.
