STOCKTON (CBS13) – A man accused of robbing his ex-girlfriend was arrested after attempting to steal her car and being found with a gun in Stockton, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said. Ledonne Drake, 47, was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery, domestic violence, identity theft, tampering with a vehicle and multiple weapons charges. The victim also reported to authorities that Drake had assaulted her earlier in the night before taking her purse and phone. Two More Teens Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Forrest Keys, UArizona Student Gunned Down In Campus Parking Garage
TUCSON, Ariz. (CBS/AP) — Two additional teenagers have been arrested in the Feb. 20 shooting death of Forrest Keys , a University of Arizona student from Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, in a campus parking garage, Tucson police Saturday. Roberto Joaquin Camargo and Ruben Young, both 17-years-old, were arrested Friday, police said. Alonzo Orosco, also 17, was arrested on Thursday , according to police. The three youths were all arrested and jailed on suspicion of first-degree murder and drive-by shooting in the killing of Keys, police said. High Winds Expected To Continue Through Sunday For Parts Of SoCal
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Strong winds were felt Saturday morning and were expected to continue through Sunday. A high wind warning was expected to take effect at 10 p.m. Saturday and into Sunday afternoon for various communities in the Southland, including the Santa Clarita Valley, the mountains of Ventura, Los Angeles, Riverside, Santa Monica, the Inland Empire and inland Orange County. According to the warning, gusts of up to 65 mph are possible. The warning will expire Sunday afternoon. Northern Colorado and the Western Slope will claim larger shares of Colorado’s population as the state adds 3 million new residents over the next three and a half decades, according to state forecasts. Greeley and Fort Collins will more than double in population and the Western Slope will grow by two-thirds by 2050, the State Demography Office predicts, while Denver, Boulder, Pueblo and the central mountain resorts will grow at slower rates. Also, El Paso County will overtake a built-out Denver County as the state’s most populated. Between 2015 and 2050, Colorado will add the equivalent of another metro Denver, on its way to 8.46 million residents. Though it’s a lot of people, the state’s rate of growth actually is predicted to slow during that period as the baby boomer generation moves on. State and local officials use the forecasts to plan for growth, a hot topic as Colorado’s roads, housing market and environment strain from an influx of out-of-state migrants.
