WASHINGTON — Less than three months after former President Donald Trump left the White House, the race to succeed him atop the Republican Party is already beginning. Trump’s former secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, has launched an aggressive schedule, visiting states that will play a pivotal role in the 2024 primaries, and he has signed a contract with Fox News Channel. Mike Pence, Trump’s former vice president, has started a political advocacy group, finalized a book deal and later this month will give his first speech since leaving office in South Carolina. And Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has been courting donors, including in Trump’s backyard, with a prominent speaking slot before the former president at a GOP fundraising retreat dinner this month at Mar-a-Lago, the Florida resort where Trump now lives. Trump ended his presidency with such a firm grip on Republican voters that party leaders fretted he would freeze the field of potential 2024 candidates, delaying preparations as he … [Read more...] about GOP White House hopefuls move forward as Trump considers 2024 run

Jarome Bell: ‘Virginia Is Going to Be America First Again’
Jarome Bell, a Republican candidate in the 2022 race for Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, joined SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday where he discussed the race and how he believes he can beat incumbent Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA). “I’m the only America First candidate here in the 2nd District on the Republican ticket that can beat Elaine Luria,” Bell explained to host Matthew Boyle. “If you really want to know where we’re going, you have to know where we’re coming from and where we are at this moment in political history.” Bell said he and his campaign will revive words like “commie” and “communist” because “that’s exactly what these Democrats are.” “These people are violent, revolutionary Bolshevik communists and it’s stuff this nation did not use to tolerate,” Bell said. “Republicans need leaders like me. Trump’s gone. We need strong leaders, vocal leaders, tough leaders to pick up the Trump mantle of America First and carry it forward and that’s what I bring to the … [Read more...] about Jarome Bell: ‘Virginia Is Going to Be America First Again’
David Bossie: Cuomo nursing home deaths scandal should lead to resignation or impeachment – it’s that simple
close Video New York Democrat lawmaker alleges threatening phone call from Cuomo FOX News correspondent Bryan Llenas joins 'Special Report' with more on the developing story. On March 25, 2020, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo sentenced tens of thousands of New York’s most vulnerable residents to die. The now-infamous directive, sent to nursing home administrators, directors of nursing, and hospital discharge planners, forced nursing homes to accept patients who had either contracted COVID-19 or had been exposed to others infected with the virus. Over the following months frustrated New Yorkers demanded answers about the circumstances that led to the deaths of their loved ones. This determined group of grieving families stood firm and vowed to do what politicians and their allies in the mainstream media refused to do—hold Cuomo accountable. One of these New Yorkers is Fox News’ Senior Meteorologist Janice Dean. Last spring, Dean lost both her mother- … [Read more...] about David Bossie: Cuomo nursing home deaths scandal should lead to resignation or impeachment – it’s that simple

Madison Cawthorn gets Democratic challenger
Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) has a Democratic challenger for his House seat, with a local county commissioner announcing plans to run against the first-term lawmaker on Wednesday. “Some people will say, a gay woman who’s a Christian minister just can’t get elected in the South. Not to mention she’s a Democrat,” Jasmine Beach-Ferrara said in her campaign video. “But I say, an insurrectionist, who flirts with Nazis, and fires up a violent crowd to attack our democracy, well, he shouldn’t get reelected anywhere.” I’m Democrat Jasmine Beach-Ferrara and I’m running against Madison Cawthorn. As a gay woman, Christian minister, mom of 3, I’ve heard “you can’t” all my life. I’m ready to prove the skeptics wrong again.
