Report: FBI Emails Show Intelligence Community Had Concerns About Steele Dossier

FBI officials discussed intelligence community concerns about the infamous Steele dossier in a lengthy email thread in October 2016, according to a new report. The FBI relied heavily on the dossier to obtain warrants to spy on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. But Republicans have questioned whether the FBI relied on unverified or inaccurate intelligence to obtain the warrants. Justice Department and FBI officials exchanged emails during the late stages of the 2016 presidential campaign discussing concerns within the intelligence community about the infamous Steele dossier, according to a new report. Fairfax County Detectives Seek Assistance Solving 2006 Cold Case Murders Of 2 Women

From the Fairfax County Police Department: Posted on December 4, 2019 For more than 13 years, the brutal murders of two Springfield women have remained a mystery. Both cases occurred within a four-month period in late 2006 and although detectives do not believe the victims knew each other, they had a lot in common. Most notably, both women were named Marion. Marion Marshall and Marion Newman were both in their 70s. Neither woman had children or was married at the time of their death. They lived alone – only two miles apart from each other. Autopsies revealed that the cause of both women's death was strangulation and blunt force trauma. Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau Cold Case Squad are seeking the public's help to solve these cases and bring resolution to both women's families and friends. St. Louis Woman Looked Up ‘What to Do if Your Husband Is Upset You Are Pregnant’ Before Her Murder: Warrants

Before she went missing last month, a St. Louis woman looked up “what to do if you husband is upset you are pregnant” on her phone, according to search warrants. Beau Rothwell, 28, reported the disappearance of his six-weeks-pregnant wife, Jennifer Rothwell, on Nov. 12, after she failed to show up for work at a chemical engineering firm. Two days later, authorities charged him with second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection with his 28-year-old wife’s slaying.  Rothwell is currently being held without bond after authorities on Nov. 19 located his wife’s body—which was found after he gave up information on her location, police said. In the newly released search warrants obtained by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, investigators say Beau Rothwell called authorities at 9:44 p.m. on Nov. 12 to report his wife of four years missing.
