U.S. The husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is a “moron” for “publicly humiliating” his wife by forming a conservative group intent on challenging President Donald Trump, according to Fox News host Mark Levin. Levin, who has shown support for Trump and reportedly even influenced the president’s unfounded claim about Barack Obama wiretapping him, cited a report Thursday about George Conway organizing a group called Checks and Balances despite his wife’s prominent and very public role with the Trump administration. “Apparently you believe in publicly humiliating your wife, moron,” Levin tweeted. Levin, an attorney as well as a radio host, has often defended Trump. He labeled the president as more conservative than both President George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, defended Trump’s actions against Russia—like sanctions—after the president said he believed Vladimir Putin’s denials of election … [Read more...] about Fox News Host Calls Kellyanne Conway’s Husband a ‘Moron’ for ‘Publicly Humiliating’ His Wife

Eliza Relman, provided by Published 4:37 pm PDT, Monday, September 17, 2018 Fox News The Drudge Report and several prominent conservatives shared a story citing negative reviews purportedly written by students of Professor Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. The comments instead concerned a different woman — Professor Christine A. Ford. Drudge, Fox host Laura Ingraham, and radio host Mark Levin all deleted their social media posts linking to Grabien's story, but none of them issued corrections. As right-wing activists and pundits seek to discredit sexual assault allegations made by a woman against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, several prominent conservatives shared a viral piece of false information about the judge's accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, a clinical psychology professor at Palo Alto University in Northern California. On Monday, the conservative website Grabien News … [Read more...] about Conservatives, including Fox host Laura Ingraham, promoted claims about the wrong Christine Ford in an attempt to smear Kavanaugh’s accuser

Wait, why are we talking about a constitutional convention? Democrats are deeply worried that Virginia, which Hillary Clinton won by five points in the 2016 election, is about to come under Republican control. Virginia elects a new governor on Tuesday, and the heavy favorite for much of the race was the Democratic candidate, current Lieutenant Gov. Ralph Northam. But Northam has run a lackluster campaign, so now it looks like Republican Ed Gillespie, a former adviser to President George W. Bush, could pull out the win. Should that happen, Virginia would come under complete GOP control, as Republicans already control the state's legislature. A Northam loss would spook Democrats nationwide for a whole host of reasons. But some liberals are already warning that a Gillespie victory could open the door to a new constitutional convention. Why is that? Article V of the U.S. Constitution describes how Congress "on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, … [Read more...] about CBS News Logo Will there be a new constitutional convention?
WASHINGTON -- The president was out of sight on Monday after he insisted over the weekend that his phones had been tapped by President Obama. President Trump offered no basis for four Twitter posts on Saturday. They included: “How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!” The spelling and punctuation are the president’s. The claim, which Mr. Trump described as “a fact,” was repudiated by the FBI director and the former Director of National Intelligence. Since his inauguration, Mr. Trump has continually stamped rumors with the seal of the president, including “millions” of illegal votes for Hillary Clinton, terror attacks no one knows about, and describing the news media as “a great danger to our country.” But on Monday, the wiretap claim seemed to cross a line. Democrats and Republicans called on Mr. Trump to … [Read more...] about How it happened: A timeline of Trump’s wiretapping accusation
