STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KDKA) — Penn State has agreed to a contract extension for football coach James Franklin through 2025. The university announced the news on Friday in a release. ‘This Was A Beautiful Turnout’: Friends And Family Gather To Remember Penn Hills Officer Killed 10 Years Ago
PENN HILLS (KDKA) — The friends and family of a fallen Penn Hills police officer gathered Friday to remember his life. Officer Michael Crawshaw was gunned down in Penn Hills while responding to a disturbance call on Dec. 6, 2009. (Image Provided) Ronald Robinson had just killed someone in a nearby home. Robinson came outside and saw Crawshaw’s police car. He ambushed Crawshaw, shooting at his police cruiser several times. Crawshaw died in his car at just 32 years old. Robinson is serving two life sentences for the murders. Those in attendance during Friday’s memorial laughed and cried as they shared memories of their loved one. PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) — Penn State is going to the Cotton Bowl for the first time in 45 years. The Nittany Lions (10-2) will play the American Athletic Conference champions Memphis Tigers (12-1) on Dec. 28 at AT&T Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. It will be Penn State’s 50th bowl overall.
