Ashley Luthern Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Published 7:04 p.m. UTC Jul 19, 2018 On a spring morning, workers building the new Milwaukee Bucks arena realized something was wrong at the construction site. They called Milwaukee police officers who filed a burglary and property damage report. But what exactly was damaged or taken remains a mystery. A heavily-redacted police report released this week shows an officer responded to the new arena, 1111 N. 4th St., about 9 a.m. May 7. Other than that, it doesn't say much else. The narrative of the report, where officers write what happened, was blocked from public release because of an ongoing investigation. A Milwaukee police spokeswoman did not answer questions about the incident. Mortenson, the construction company on the project, released a short statement this week saying it reported a "trespassing and vandalism incident that happened on May 5" that resulted in "minor damage." "The incident occurred after … [Read more...] about Two months later, Milwaukee police still investigating property damage at new Bucks arena

"We have our risk management office if it's any property damage and it's a county-owned tree they'll conduct their portion of the investigation and decide if there's any responsibility to the city." Attorney David Hudson says the city is only responsible for damage to someone's property if the tree was dying or dead and the same goes for homeowners. "If “Homeowner A” knows or has reason to … [Read more...] about Addressing property damage: Who covers the cost for tree removal?
