Four men believed to have ties to a far-right militia group were indicted on charges of destroying evidence in a federal investigation over the shootings of two police officers. The Justice Department announced Friday that Jessie Alexander Rush, 29, Robert Jesus Blancas, 33, Simon Sage Ybarra, 23, and Kenny Matthew Miksch, 21 were charged with conspiracy to destroy records, destruction of records and obstruction of official proceedings. Prosecutors allege the four men are members of the far-right extremist "Grizzly" militia, which has ties to the “boogaloo” movement, which advocates for a politically-motivated civil war or uprising against the government. A former Dallas police officer arrested last month on capital murder charges has been released from jail and had his charges dropped after a judge ruled he could not be held, according to reports. Bryan Riser, a 13-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department, was accused of hiring three people to kill Albert Douglas and Lisa Saenz in 2017. He was freed on a $5 million bond following a preliminary hearing Wednesday. Dallas County Criminal Court Judge Audrey Moorehead found that police did not have enough evidence to keep Riser behind bars. LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A paramedic who was off-duty at the time Giants fan Bryan Stow was severely attacked at Dodger Stadium gave graphic details of the incident in court Wednesday. Stow was knocked unconscious when witnesses say several men wearing Dodger jerseys assaulted him in a stadium parking lot on opening day last year. LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Three women who were in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium after the team’s home opener last year testified Thursday in the beating case of Giants fan Bryan Stow. Megan Duffy took the witness stand during the second day of a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to require Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood to stand trial for the violent attack.
