Young adults ages 16 and up are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and Denver Public Schools is partnering with two health providers to offer students multiple opportunities to get inoculated. Denver Health is hosting six mass-vaccination clinics on various school campuses starting April 17. Each student should check their DPS email account for a one-time, unique sign-up code and then log in to or register for a MyChart account on Denver Health’s website. These are expected to be drive-thru clinics, said spokesperson Rachel Hirsch, but this weekend’s have been moved inside schools due to inclement weather. CDC: Half of US adults have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose
Roughly half of U.S. adults have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released Saturday. Across the country, more than 128 million people ages 18 and older have received at least one shot, with more than 82 million fully vaccinated with one of the three vaccines approved for emergency use in the U.S., the CDC said. Overall, 49.7 percent of U.S. adults have received at least one vaccine dose, according to the data , and nearly a third are fully vaccinated.
