Real estate broker Tara King may not necessarily believe in ghosts, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had to deal with a few when it came to selling a client’s home. “There are a lot of agents who have had experiences with either clients who felt uncomfortable or they felt uncomfortable in a home,” she said. The "for sale" signs and parking lot sell-offs are part of a larger, state and nationwide story. A quick search on LoopNet, a real-estate market place, shows two-dozen Connecticut churches on the market. All this comes at a time when religious service attendance is down, … [Read more...] about Shrinking congregations lead to real estate shifts

A crucial issue of the day is the affordable housing crisis, and some of our power players are working tirelessly to address it. Sustainability has also become an, um…evergreen issue, and plenty of our subjects spend their days in that arena. We included some who consider themselves disrupters, and those who are funding them, as well as researchers and academics, media who stoke … [Read more...] about 2018’s Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate
