View Comments Eight years after Kyron Horman went missing, the annual fundraiser draws in hundreds to help with his case, and others like him. Hundreds of people attended the seventh annual "Kyron's Car Show" this weekend, the fundraising event set up in the name of Kyron Horman, the 7-year-old boy who went missing from Skyline Elementary School in Portland in 2010.Held for years at Hillsboro's Liberty High School, around 300 vehicles made their way to a new location in Beaverton on Sunday, Aug. 5. While there were plenty of astounding cars on display, the event was about so much more than that, organizers said. Seven years ago, Kyron's father Kaine Horman launched the fundraising event to keep his son's name and case in the public's attention. But by whatever name, they are the centerpiece of Phoenix's busy drag scene. Audiences have been swelling for traveling acts, ranging from frequent performances from RuPaul's Drag Race contestants at the historic Orpheum Theatre and Charlie’s, … [Read more...] about Queens of the Night: It’s Never a Drag at These 9 Show Bars in the PHX

On June 8, 2014, the day after graduating from Knox College in Galesburg, Ill., Ms. Anderson (now Ms. Lowe) and Mr. Lowe wed. At 22, eight years before the deadline, their wedding was held on campus at Alumni Hall among friends, family and faculty. Their initial informal promise was a safe way to flirt, because the two were afraid to reveal their mutual feelings. “You can back out of it if no one believes it; you can tell yourself it was just a joke,” said Ms. Lowe, noting that her husband once agreed to a similar arrangement with a friend from high school. (Mr. Lowe has no previous marriages.) The verbal contract between … [Read more...] about If We’re 40 and Single, Let’s Get Married. Deal?

Earlier in the day, Aldrin contacted FLORIDA TODAY to say he was undecided at that point. FLORIDA TODAY received a statement on behalf of Aldrin later Saturday evening from Linn LeBlanc, Chief Operating Officer of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC: To my Space friends attending the ShareSpace Foundation tonight, July 21, 2018: I will not be attending the Gala tonight.
