BOSTON (CBS) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 1,694 new confirmed COVID cases and 10 additional deaths in the state on Saturday. Health officials said the total number of confirmed cases in the state is now 630,206. The total number of confirmed deaths is now 17,110. UPPER MACUNGIE, Pa. (CBS) — A multi-vehicle crash in Lehigh Valley sent 10 people to the hospital on Saturday. It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Hamilton Boulevard just west of Newtown Road in Upper Macungie Township. Police said a tractor-trailer failed to stop for a line of stopped cars and struck a pickup truck. Hundreds of protesters gathered for the fourth consecutive night of unrest outside the Brooklyn Center Police Department in Minnesota following the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright. Earlier in the day, Kim Potter , the former police officer who shot Daunte Wright, was charged with second-degree manslaughter.
