RIVERSIDE (CBSLA) — The family of a Rubidoux man who was shot and killed last year outside a hotel in Riverside is pleading for help Thursday in catching his killer. (credit: Riverside Police Department) Grant Leggette Sr., 57, was at a Valentine’s Day celebration at a Marriott hotel on Market Street on Feb. 14, 2020 when he was shot several times while going out to his parked car. Massachusetts Reports 1,928 New COVID Cases, 33 Additional Deaths
BOSTON (CBS) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 1,928 new confirmed COVID cases and 33 additional deaths in the state on Thursday. Health officials said the total number of confirmed cases in the state is now 545,624 while the total number of deaths is 15,657. By: KDKA-TV News Staff PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Dannielle Brown, the mother of a Duquesne student who fell to his death, was taken to the hospital on Day 236 on her hunger strike. According to a release Thursday from The Marquis Jaylen Brown Foundation, Dannielle was taken to a local hospital after suffering complications from her hunger strike. She is under the care of her attending physician, who has been monitoring her since the beginning of the strike, the foundation said. 39,725 Minutes! Painfully Long Waits On Vaccine Website As Thousands Of New Appointments Are Filled
BOSTON (CBS) – Fifty thousand new appointments for the state’s mass COVID-19 vaccination sites went online Thursday morning and were quickly taken as thousands of people faced extremely long waits on the website. Gov. Charlie Baker said tech experts worked all week to make sure the website was ready for the surge of traffic when the appointments went live at 8 a.m. Some reported it crashed for them about an hour later. The governor hoped a new digital waiting room would improve the experience, but it was infuriating for many. Several people were told they will have to wait for days to get out of the waiting room.
