close Video Battle over beach access in Florida heats up Florida Governor Rick Scott is drawing a line in the sand between public and private beaches with a controversial first-of-its-kind law to create a process for local governments and property owners to go to court to determine the status of a beach, but legal experts say its effect on beach access when it goes into effect July 1 is not as serious as some fear. NAPLES, Fla. – Florida is known for its glistening, pristine – and free – beaches. Just pick a sunny, sandy spot, and it’s yours for the day. But a bill signed into law by Florida Gov. Rick Scott last month is threatening to restrict access to Florida’s expansive beaches. And that has residents fuming. Pinecrest Premier Soccer Announces New College Coordinator
Jamie Giger Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club today announced Jamie Giger as the club’s new college coordinator. She will be responsible in assisting players navigate through the process of applying to college soccer programs. She will provide the knowledge and resources of different soccer programs available at the DI, DII, DIII and NAIA level. She will also be working with players on their academics, video profiles, player seminars, parent seminars as well as ID clinics. “We are very pleased to be bringing Jamie in a leadership role as she brings an enormous amount of soccer knowledge and a keen understanding of what it takes to be a student-athlete.
