By: KDKA-TV News Staff PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting 278 new Coronavirus cases and one additional death over the last 48 hours. The dates of positive tests range from March 1-7. The Health Department says new cases range in age from 1 month to 91 years, with a median age of 40. There have now been 5,153 total hospitalizations and 78,357 total coronavirus cases in Allegheny County since the pandemic started. The countywide death toll has reached 1,701. COVID-19 In Pennsylvania: State Health Dept. Announces 2-Day Total Of 3,176 Cases, 39 Deaths
By: KDKA-TV News Staff HARRISBURG (KDKA) — The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting a two-day total of 3,176 new Coronavirus cases and 39 additional deaths. READ MORE: Report: The Pennsylvania Turnpike Is The World's Most Expensive Toll Road The statewide total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 950,161 since Saturday’s report, according to the state’s data. As for the vaccine, 2 million first doses have been administered and more than 951,000 people have been fully vaccinated. There are 1,587 people across the state hospitalized with COVID-19 infections. Of those hospitalized, 314 patients are in the ICU. Gov. Tom Wolf recently eased gathering limits and lifted out-of-state travel restrictions . The statewide death toll has risen to 24,356. CDC Releases New Guidelines For People Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19
By Jen Christensen, CNN (CNN) — New guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can safely visit with other vaccinated people and small groups of unvaccinated people in some circumstances, but there are still important safety precautions needed.
