State Lawmakers in Florida are poised to reject legislation that would put in place a law to protect female athletes from competing against biological men who consider themselves transgender, according to Politico . The bill specifically would athletes must participate in K-12 and college sports according to their biological sex. “Ding dong the witch is dead,” Democrat Sen. Johnny Juzang, UCLA star, enters NBA draft
LOS ANGELES — Johnny Juzang, who starred for UCLA in the Bruins’ run to the Final Four, is entering his name in the NBA draft but not hiring an agent. The sophomore guard announced his decision Tuesday on social media, leaving open the possibility of returning to Westwood. He averaged 22.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in six NCAA Tournament games. The Bruins lost to then-undefeated Gonzaga in the national semifinals in their first Final Four appearance since 2008. “For many years, I’ve dreamt about playing professional basketball. And given the uncertainty at quarterback for the Patriots, most of the mockers have Bill Belichick addressing the most important position on the field with New England’s first selection. That doesn’t necessarily mean the Patriots will be waiting for a quarterback to fall onto their laps at No. 15.
