Vernon Hills Police Department Crime Prevention Officer Jeff Hemesath said his department is investigating the string of commercial burglaries. Officers responded around 3:55 a.m. Monday to a commercial burglary at Rivertree Court shopping center in the 700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in Vernon Hills.
