‘2 Kids Don’t Just Come Up Missing’: Relative Of Missing Kern County Toddlers Speaks Out
CALIFORNIA CITY (CBSLA) — A relative of two missing toddlers from Kern County spoke out this week about the ongoing search for 4-year-old Orrin and 3-year-old Orson West. (credit: CBS) The two young brothers disappeared from the backyard of their adoptive parents’ home in California City on Dec. 21. There have been multiple searches in Bakersfield , where the boys lived with their adoptive parents, before moving to California City in September. LA County Reports 2,253 New COVID-19 Cases, 119 Deaths; Residents Urged To Avoid Spring Break Travel
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Thursday reported 2,253 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases and 119 deaths, bringing countywide totals to 1,198,098 cases and 21,778 deaths. Of the new deaths reported, 43 people were over the age of 80, 41 people were between the ages of 65 and 79, 21 people were between the ages of 50 and 64, six people were between the ages of 30 and 49, and one person was between the ages of 18 and 29. Long Beach reported six deaths and the Pasadena added one. Westmoreland County Leaders Say They’re Getting Less Vaccine Than Smaller Counties
GREENSBURG, Pa. (KDKA) – Westmoreland County leaders are demanding answers after they say they’re not getting enough COVID-19 vaccines while counties with smaller populations are. Sean Kertes is the chairman of the Westmoreland County Commissioners. He says he wants answers and more vaccines as soon as possible because it literally is a matter of life and death. Riverside County Social Services Building In Lake Elsinore Damaged By Fire, Closed Until Further Notice
LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA) — An early-morning fire has shut down the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services building in Lake Elsinore until further notice. A fire was reported on the second floor of the building, at 1400 Minthorn St., at about 3:45 a.m. Friday. Firefighters put out the fire, but there was extensive smoke and water damage to the building, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
