Republican attorneys general (AGs) across the country are prepared to fight the recently introduced court-packing legislation, as indicated by their vocal statements of opposition to it, endorsements of the Keep Nine amendment, and vows to explore legal routes to challenge the legislation. In interviews with Breitbart News, several AGs expressed they were firmly against the court-packing bill, unveiled Thursday as the Judiciary Act of 2021 by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), and other Democrats. “This is an effort for the Democrats to try to add numbers to the Court to be able to validate the most liberal agenda that we’ve seen out of Congress in clearly my lifetime,” Alabama AG Steve Marshall told Breitbart News. Fox News host Tucker Carlson said Monday that Republicans are ducking their responsibility to counter “insane” arguments from Black Lives Matter to defund or abolish police forces across American. Facebook is putting additional content moderation protocols in place ahead of the impending verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin , who is accused of murdering George Floyd . Facebook said Monday, shortly before the start of closing arguments in the trial, that it will identify and remove calls to bring arms to areas in Minneapolis, which has temporarily been deemed a “high-risk location” by the social media platform. The tech giant said it will continue to monitor events to determine if additional locations will also be deemed temporary, high-risk locations. Author and journalist Jonathan Cohn discussed his new book "The Ten Year War: Obamacare and the Unfinished Crusade for Universal Coverage" on Monday and explained that Obamacare was achieved and has remained in part due to the Republican Party's own lack of focus on health care. Maxine Waters (D-CA) over her comments on getting “more confrontational” are “a case of the pot calling the kettle violent.” Berman said, “This weekend Democratic Maxine Waters with asked what should happen if the jury does not deliver a guilty verdict in the case of Derek Chauvin.
