By: KDKA-TV News Staff NEW CASTLE, Pa. (KDKA) — A New Castle Police sergeant is retiring after 28 years on the force. Sergeant Christopher Bouye worked his last day on Friday, according to the New Castle Police Department. Bouye began his career as a patrol officer with New Castle Police in 1993 and went on to serve as the supervisor of the New Castle Police Department’s Narcotics unit and as the director of the Lawrence County Drug Task Force. Bouye will not stop his involvement with the community entirely, police said. He will keep working with the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force. “Thank you, Sgt. Shooting Suspect Fatally Wounded By Police Near Inner Harbor Thursday Night, Baltimore Police Say
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A shooting suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting near the Inner Harbor Thursday night, according to the Baltimore City Police Department. According to police, two officers from the Baltimore City Police Department Inner Harbor Unit were flagged down by a civilian shortly before 9:30 p.m. for a report of a non-fatal-shooting. New Haven police have obtained an arrest warrant related to the fatal shooting of Yale University graduate student Kevin Jiang, police confirmed to Fox News on Saturday. Jiang, 26, was shot multiple times and found lying outside his car on a New Haven street on Feb. 7. Authorities immediately believed Jiang may have been targeted and his killing was not random. Police Believe Same Suspect Has Stolen Bags From DIA Carousel Four Times
DENVER (CBS4) — Investigators with the Denver Police Department believe the same person is responsible for separate thefts of passengers’ luggage from Denver International Airport. The thefts occurred on Dec. 2, 3 and 23 of last year, and most recently on Feb. 15. Man Allegedly Tried To Bury His Wife Alive At Beach After Fight, Police Say
A California man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly tried to drown and then bury his wife alive while at the beach, police say. Jose Luis Mares III was at a San Diego-area beach Wednesday night with his wife when police received a call from his wife just before 9 p.m. that Mares had tried to kill her, Coronado Police announced in a Facebook post. When officers arrived at the 900 block of Ocean Boulevard they found a “badly injured woman” on the sidewalk, police said. The couple had gone to the beach earlier in the evening and had gotten into an argument, according to police. Suddenly, Mares allegedly began to attack his wife. “He attempted to throw her in the ocean, then burying her in a hole in the sand,” police said.
