The toolkit shows a spectrum of children from birth to ages over six, with the title “They’re not too young to talk about race!” It cites a study that shows at birth, “babies look equally at faces of all races. Police Chase, Stash House Raids, Lead to Arrest of Dozens near Border in Texas
Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents arrested nearly four dozen migrants over the weekend. The arrests came following a police pursuit and raids on two human smuggling stash houses near the Texas border with Mexico. Webb County Constables Office Precinct 2 contacted Laredo South Station officials on the morning of February 26 about a vehicle that failed to yield. When the police pursuit ended, the driver and passengers jumped from the vehicle and fled, according to information obtained from Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials. The constable’s deputy chased down the driver, a U.S. citizen, while the Border Patrol agents rounded up ten illegal aliens, officials stated. The agents reported the migrants entered the U.S. after traveling from Guatemala and Mexico. The deputy arrested the driver and the agents took the migrants to the Laredo South Station for processing under current sector guidelines. The dates of positive tests range from July 1 to March 1. Fifteen tests are more than a week old and the health department says the older test results were previously known and addressed. Reports 200 New Coronavirus Cases, 1 Additional Death The statewide total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 935,834 since Monday’s report, according to the state’s data. There are 1,715 people across the state hospitalized with COVID-19 infections. Of those hospitalized, 366 patients are in the ICU. On Monday, Gov. Tom Wolf eased gathering limits and lifted out-of-state travel restrictions . The statewide death toll has risen to 24,100. As for the vaccine, the health department says nearly 2.5 million doses have been given to date. More than 1.7 million Pennsylvanians have gotten their first shot, and more than 760,000 second doses have been administered.
