After enrolling as a student in 1970, Miles eventually became director of university bands, leading the marching band, symphonia band, jazz ensemble, and more. CHICAGO (AP/WJZ) — FIFA intends to announce the 2026 World Cup sites during a news conference in New York on June 16. Seventeen U.S. stadiums in 16 areas — including M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore — remain in the bidding for the first 48-team World Cup. Three stadiums each in Canada and Mexico are expected to be used. BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore County police will wear a memorial ribbon bar on their uniform or a mourning band on their badge Saturday to mark the 4-year anniversary of the death of Officer Amy Caprio, who was killed when the teenaged driver of a getaway car ran over her. Caprio, 29, died May 21, 2018 while responding to a 911 call for a burglary in Perry Hall. PERRY HALL, Md. (WJZ) — Baltimore County Police have charged all four suspects in Officer Amy Caprio’s murder as adults, and they are being held without bail. Darrell Ward, 15, Derrick Matthews, 16, and Eugene Genius, 17, are charged with burglary and first-degree murder. PERRY HALL, Md. (WJZ/AP) — The Baltimore County Police officer killed Monday while investigating a suspicious vehicle has been identified as 29-year-old Amy Caprio. Baltimore County Police Chief Terrence Sheridan said Caprio died from major head trauma to the head and torso. Her death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner.
