So I have a confession to make. I love boy band music. I guess you can say they’re my guilty pleasure. I can already feel your judgement through the internet. You know what, I don’t even care. I’m just going to pop on my headphones and tune out the haters while I listen to the top ten boy band songs of all time. 10. Community rallies around UPS-loving boy with rare illnesses (NTV News) FRANKLIN, Neb. — A little boy from Franklin with three incurable and rare diseases is saying thank you to his community. The community of Franklin hosted an all-day fundraiser to help with 7-year-old Dalton Merten's medical expenses on Saturday. Dalton stays in bed all day because of his illnesses, and the only time he gets out is when the UPS delivery driver comes by. His mother, Jenny Mertens, told NTV News they're hoping the funds can help Dalton see one of the best doctors in Chicago. "It really means a lot to us, all the stuff UPS has done to us, the community. It means more than you'll ever know," Jenny said. Dalton suffers from mastocytosis. His mom said he can have an allergic reaction to anything at any time. He also has another condition known as POTS. It causes his pulse to elevate anytime he stands up and sometimes can even make him pass out. And finally, Dalton has a rare gene which has … [Read more...] about Community rallies around UPS-loving boy with rare illnesses
