BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a 19-year-old man in Baltimore’s Upton neighborhood on Saturday, according to authorities. Someone shot the man in the 1500 block of Argyle Avenue around 3:25 p.m., police said. "After much consideration, I regret to inform those who voted for me that I have decided to step down as a member of the city council," Arredondo told the Uvalde Leader-News. "The mayor, the city council, and the city staff must continue to move forward without distractions." Shortly after the article was published, however, the City of Uvalde released a statement saying it had not heard directly from Arredondo. BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A violent holiday weekend in Baltimore left a teenager, a woman, and two men dead. Two other teens and another man were injured. Saturday afternoon, two 17-year-old teenagers—a boy and a girl—were shot near the Inner Harbor. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A judge has issued a restraining order against Puerto Rican superstar Ricky Martin, police said Saturday. The order was signed Friday, and authorities visited an upscale neighborhood in the north coastal town of Dorado where the singer lives to try to serve the order, police spokesman Axel Valencia told The Associated Press. “Up until now, police haven’t been able to find him,” Valencia said. Martin’s publicist did not immediately return a message asking for comment. It was not immediately known who requested the restraining order. Valencia said he could not provide further details because the order was filed under Puerto Rico’s domestic violence law. Man killed in S.F. shooting, suspect arrested
San Francisco police arrested a suspect in a shooting that left one person dead Friday night in the Bayview. Around 11:55 p.m., police said officers responded to reports of shots fired on the 1600 block of Shafter Ave. and found a 38-year-old man with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics took the victim to the hospital, where he died, police said. The initial police investigation found the victim and suspect were involved in a dispute that escalted to the fatal shooting. Homicide investigators identified San Francisco resident Robert Malachi Barton, 33, as the suspect. Around 12:30 p.m., officers served a search warrant on Espanola Street and arrested Barton. Barton was booked in jail on a homicide (187(a) PC) charge.
