RIO LINDA (CBS13) – A Rio Linda community raised concern over a new sign in their neighborhood, but it’s one that was certainly not welcoming. In her quiet Rio Linda neighborhood, Candace Taylor is used to walking outside to her horses or her neighbor’s goats, but this new sight is a blight in her backyard. Group Of Linda Mothers Stop, Detain Alleged Kidnapper In The Act
LINDA (CBS13) – A Yuba County woman is in custody facing kidnapping charges for trying to take two young children from a Linda apartment complex. “All I heard was, ‘she got my kids,'” Alicia Motley said. A group of mothers stopped a woman from allegedly kidnapping two young boys, ages 5 and 8. “There are a lot of children here, and it’s crazy,” Motley said. One mother told me the alleged kidnapper first led her 5-year-old boy out of the sandbox with his toys and was walking to the parking lot holding his hand when the boy’s mom grabbed her son back and dragged the woman away from the play area. Minutes later, the same woman allegedly took an 8-year-old boy before another set of mothers grabbed her and then started beating her. Woman, 7 Inmates Suspected In $120K California EDD Fraud Ring
RIO LINDA (CBS13) — The district attorney’s office says a woman was arrested at a Rio Linda home on Tuesday in connection to a suspected EDD fraud ring that also allegedly involves seven inmates. Authorities executed the arrest warrant around 7 a.m. at the 1400 block of I Street property. A total of seven state inmates have also been linked to the case, the DA’s office says. Two inmates, one from Sacramento County and the other from Southern California, have already had new charges filed against them.
