Elmire Raven has seen and assisted people through many different walks of life. She is extremely proud of her own path of accomplishments and her devotion for helping others."I've had a great life, I have no regrets. I live my life every day knowing that every minute should be treasured and valued," Raven said. "Even though people say tomorrow is not guaranteed, tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Being one of eight children and now there's only me and my sister left, I know that tomorrow is not guaranteed." Raven was born in the small town of Gonzales, LA near New Orleans. She was one of eight children and her mother died when she was 8 years old. Raven went to live with her sister whose husband was in the military. The price of individual diplomas varies but applying for all four costs $999 for transcripts and diplomas.In December, an Oklahoma police officer was arrested on suspicion of using a fake master's degree that he got from the Denton University to reportedly get a salary increase from the city, the Record-Chronicle reported.A probable cause affidavit from the officer's arrest states the school is at an address that appears to be a TA Travel Center. The Denton University website says it is located in a ZIP code that encompasses an area just north of the University of North Texas and east of the downtown square.The site claims the Denton University has an accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of International Colleges and Universities or ACICU, which is not a real accrediting body, the Record-Chronicle reported.
